Black Road Kickstarter Campaign

Joma Films is producing a new film this year and I’m excitedly on board as Production Designer! This is a neo-film noir/sci-fi thriller that takes place in 2049. I’ve already begun working with Anne and Gary Lundgren, Patrick Neary and others for pre-production on concept design, props, color palette and more! There’s a lot of work and prep to do beforehand and we’re still trying to raise funding so we can go full tilt later this summer.

There will be posts on Kickstarter, the Black Road Facebook page showing artwork and much, much more. Time allotting I’ll try to put up some artwork and behind the scenes stuff here as well!

Check out the video, and if you’d like to participate with us in the making of the film, you can pre-order a DVD or choose from other cool rewards. Doing so in the first 24-48 hours helps the campaign gain a lot of momentum (and you also get your name listed near the beginning of the “road stripe scroll” on our supporter website:

We’re very excited about this film and the chance to participate with you in its creation!

Thanks for all of your support!

Redwood Highway Movie Poster

The Redwood Highway movie poster is complete!

Redwood Highway Movie PosterI just finished and received approval for the Redwood Highway Movie poster. It is now ready for display at the premier for the Ashland Independent Film Festival! It’s a full one sheet and seeing it printed at this size is pretty spectacular. 5×7 post cards are also being printed for promotional hand-outs so if you’re at the premier, keep an eye out – there might be some available.

Special thanks to Lisa Byrne for photography and helping me capture epic images of the redwoods. Also, a shout out to Gary Lundgren, James Twyman, Patrick Neary, Gary Kout and Anne Lundgren for their keen eye and constructive help with the poster design.

Thanks to Stefan Weber, Creative Director at Lanphier for providing press-proofs and also thanks to the crew over at Ashland API for providing the quick turn around and quality printing of the final posters.

Redwood Highway Movie Trailer & Premier

The trailer for the Redwood Highway movie was just released and the film will premier at the Ashland Independent Film festival this April!  Working behind the camera was an awesome experience and I can’t wait to see the magical transformation from on set to on screen. Redwood Highway starring Shirley Knight, Tom Skerritt, James LeGros and Zena Grey.

The end of 2012 with a good Prospect for 2013

2012 ended with a bang and proved that a positive and productive 2013 is knocking at my door.

RH_setdressing1I was able to work with a great crew and cast as the Production Designer for the feature film Redwood Highway in Southern Oregon. I was also involved with Art Direction. A great experience working with so many people on a 20 day shoot. The film will make its national premier at the 12th annual Ashland Independent Film Festival April 2013!
I am in the midst of designing the movie poster and will be feverishly getting that done and ready before the film hits the festival. I’ll be posting a sample as soon as it clears for release.

Speaking of posters, I’ve also been working on the new IMPS the Relentless poster and its looking awesomely epic! Pete is sending me over a couple assets I need to finish the compositing and it should be done after a few tweaks and hammering. I can’t wait to share a sample of that too!  The IMPS project has really sparked up for me in the last few months and I will be updating the website design, adding a bunch of features and starting up an online system to accept donations. This will help a lot so we can finish the remaining chapters!

Meanwhile many other projects have been added to the Prospect 7 plate and its been great working with some previous clients and some new ones.

OCbrochure2013 Origami Catering is rolling out some fresh items and called upon me to hook them up with some T-shirt designs and a brochure. Origami Catering produces and delivers the best sushi ever, so if you’re ever in the Portland Oregon area, be sure to visit places like Wholefoods market to pick up some of Origami’s finest sushi and other food items. They also cater for events or party’s!!

SusanHoug_worldgoodnight_AlbumCover_500x500 Prospect7 designd a CD cover and insert for Snowflower Music Publishing  for Susan Houg’s latest release “World, Goodnight.”
The Ashland Gallery Association and good colleague Bruce Bayard ofStudio AB has contracted me to help build their new website and should be available the end of March 2013.  John Higley designed the look and theme of the website and it’s looking great. So far everything is working well and it’s been a great challenge and learning curve with coding.

With the number of projects, it’s left me with a little less time to work on a couple personal projects but I have been finding some time to squeeze them in.  I finished up a digital painting and have been working on rendering the last 13 pages of a graphic novel/comic book.  The Cirque Clock looks great printed even though the photograph doesn’t show justice.

More stuff to come and share soon – cheers to an awesome 2013!
