2012 ended with a bang and proved that a positive and productive 2013 is knocking at my door.
I was able to work with a great crew and cast as the Production Designer for the feature film Redwood Highway in Southern Oregon. I was also involved with Art Direction. A great experience working with so many people on a 20 day shoot. The film will make its national premier at the 12th annual Ashland Independent Film Festival April 2013!
I am in the midst of designing the movie poster and will be feverishly getting that done and ready before the film hits the festival. I’ll be posting a sample as soon as it clears for release.
Speaking of posters, I’ve also been working on the new IMPS the Relentless poster and its looking awesomely epic! Pete is sending me over a couple assets I need to finish the compositing and it should be done after a few tweaks and hammering. I can’t wait to share a sample of that too! The IMPS project has really sparked up for me in the last few months and I will be updating the website design, adding a bunch of features and starting up an online system to accept donations. This will help a lot so we can finish the remaining chapters!
Meanwhile many other projects have been added to the Prospect 7 plate and its been great working with some previous clients and some new ones.
Origami Catering is rolling out some fresh items and called upon me to hook them up with some T-shirt designs and a brochure. Origami Catering produces and delivers the best sushi ever, so if you’re ever in the Portland Oregon area, be sure to visit places like Wholefoods market to pick up some of Origami’s finest sushi and other food items. They also cater for events or party’s!!
Prospect7 designd a CD cover and insert for Snowflower Music Publishing for Susan Houg’s latest release “World, Goodnight.”
The Ashland Gallery Association and good colleague Bruce Bayard ofStudio AB has contracted me to help build their new website and should be available the end of March 2013. John Higley designed the look and theme of the website and it’s looking great. So far everything is working well and it’s been a great challenge and learning curve with coding.
With the number of projects, it’s left me with a little less time to work on a couple personal projects but I have been finding some time to squeeze them in. I finished up a digital painting and have been working on rendering the last 13 pages of a graphic novel/comic book. The Cirque Clock looks great printed even though the photograph doesn’t show justice.
More stuff to come and share soon – cheers to an awesome 2013!
